We are members of the IFE (Institute of Fire Engineers) with Operations Director Steve Wilkes being a qualified and registered ‘life safety’ fire risk assessor who can provide fire risk assessments to the latest PAS-79 Standard, which satisfy insurance and legal requirements.

Fire Surveys & Maintenance
We can provide you with a compliance survey, remedial work, and future maintenance programs in relations to British Standard 9999 Fire safety in the design, management and use of buildings – Code of Practice. This will be tailored to our client’s unique circumstance and priorities.

We ensure all fire compliances under relevant fire safety laws are adhered to and strictly followed.
About
Steve Wilkes is a former Guernsey Fire and Rescue Service officer with 25 years of experience operationally, specialising within fire safety compliance. Steve is a highly experienced, skilled and competent “life safety fire risk assessor”. He is registered with the Institute of Fire Engineers at the Member level grade of membership.
Steve’s extensive training, passion and knowledge within the fire sector enable him to consult, manage and specify numerous areas of fire safety, compliance and risk management solutions within the commercial and residential sectors.
Working in accordance with the client’s specific project requirements, Steve, and his team, bring knowledge and specialist training to provide high quality, bespoke services.
Accreditations, Certification and Standard
FDS operate to the highest standards and are members of the Institute of Fire Engineers, Fire Protection Association and Association of Specialist Fire Protection. As Tier 1 ASFP approved Contractors / Primary Contractors we are permitted to manage and coordinate the works required in passive fire protection in buildings, all in accordance with legal fire safety compliance, technical standards, and recommended manufacturers guidelines.
